Hello, Hello

Today I’m Going to Vertigo!

Hello folks. I am in Dallas, TX eagerly anticipating my U2 concert experience set for 8pm tonight. I have been rocking out to “Pop” and “HTDAAB” for the past few days getting geared up for the show. The Dallas Morning News had a few articles and interesting factoids on the band in today’s paper. One of the articles was a reader survey on various U2 topics including “Best Album” (Joshua Tree, no surprise there) and “What Would You Rather Do?”

Best Albums
The Joshua Tree: 46.15%
All That You Can’t Leave Behind: 15.38%
How To Dismantle an Atomic Bomb: 15.38%
Achtung Baby: 11.54% (That surprised me. I would have tied it with Joshua Tree)
War: 7.69%
The Unforgettable Fire: 3.85%

What Would You Rather Do?
Take guitar lessons from The Edge: 61.90%
Attend a UN meeting with Bono: 23.81%
Gaze into the dreamy eyes of Larry Mullin: 9.52%
Look bored with Adam Clayton: 4.76%

I thought you would enjoy these two surveys. I’ll post a reveiw sometime next week. Peace.

  1. Have a great show. That survey is funny, but the folks who wrote it haven’t noticed that since Adam Clayton became a Christian he never looks bored anymore!
…I’ll take the UN meeting myself.

  2. I haven’t heard about Adam’s conversion. Any link or story you can send me on that?
I read an interview during the ATUCLB tour that he said he wasn’t a Christian but knew something spiritual happened everynight at their shows.

  3. Oh, and I’m still looking for tickets to the Dallas show – if anyone would like to spend the evening next to a Stranger in a Strange Land.
