“He who shall protect/save us all.”
The fifth season of “LOST” is in the history books… or the future books… or something. What a great season! We got some answers to old questions and, of course, we got a whole big bunch of brand spankin’ new questions to contend with. After the final scene in last night’s season finale I just sat there dumbfounded. I on one hand didn’t like the ending at all but on the other found myself loving every single white pixel on the screen. Such is the case with every episode of “LOST”. It is love/hate, enlightened/confused, Dharma/Others back and forth that few shows match.
Now we find ourselves with one final season. Is the future rewritten or has what’s been done, been done? The only hint about where we are going that we got last night was a teaser for the sixth season with the tagline Destiny Found. Last week Doc Jensen, Entertainment Weekly’s LOST Guru, asked the all important question for every LOST fan.
Which mysteries do you feel must be resolved during the sixth and final season?
That is the 4 8 15 16 23 42 million dollar question isn’t it?
For me, here is what I absolutely want resolved once and for all:
1) What (and now I wonder Who) exactly is Smokezilla?
2) Was that Jacob visiting our Castaways last night or was that Mr. Nameless from the beach?
3) What ever happened to Claire?
4) Who is Richard and Where/When did he come from?
5) What ever happened to the Oceanic 815 castaways kidnapped by the Others?
6) Why the fertility experiments?
7) For a show about Good and Evil, Black and White we haven’t been given a clear picture of who is who. I need to know who is on which side.
Right now, these are the 7 burning questions I need to find the answers to. Did I miss anything?
I want to hear from you. What questions do you need answered? What mysteries do you need resolved?
In the words of Jacob, “What about you?
What does it mean for Lapidus to be a “candidate?”
Do the numbers 4 8 15 16 23 42 mean anything else? other than being the serial number on the hatch.
Where is Jack’s Dad (Christian) and why did he start showing up on the island and then disappear for the most part this season? Was he really just a form that the nameless guy on the beach took?
The freakin polar bears. I know they mentioned that there is somekind of island of polar bears but still.
The story of the two brasilian guys in the north/south pole at season 2 finale?
How does the others knew that walt has “special” abilities, do they continue making experiments with humans or something like that?
Why did the plane where war Mr. Ecko brothe crash in the island, coincidence,??
Who where the guys in the bote that start shooting at Juliet, Sawyer and crew when they where traveling trough time??
What hapen to Daniel Russeu Crew, does it was the nameless guy?? AND the ship the BLACK ROCK..wtf??
AND THE $%&@ NUMBERS… what do they mean, they can´t be just the serial of the hatch. Hurley listen them from a guy who won a game of beans in a bottle, they where in the trasnmission that Daniel LIssen… they must be something.. Even I started played them in the local lottery..:S Maybe someday I will meet JACOB or at least JJ ABRAMS..
Sorry for my english…
first we must clear the questions answered: Jack’s Dad is dead. That guy walking on the island is the “doppleganger”, I think. I never encounter two “dead” at once… The FLocke go out, the FAlex appear and so on…
The question that is still killing me from season one is:
What was the epidemic? What happened with the quarantine? Desmond certainly believed (as do the “Others” make a convincing show) though it has been implied by the plot that there may have never been any disease (just a show for the remaning Dharma employees after the purge).
TP:The polar bear question was answered in season three, remember the cages Kate and Sawyer were kept in? It was a polar bear testing facility maned by Dharma (while they appear to be a corporate company it is still curious WHY they were testing polar bears).
